So I guess the little one in my life decided to straighten up and fly right.  He was good at daycare yesterday, No hitting, spitting =or any of those other itting things he likes to do.

  E only watches Childrens programming on TV, but we made the decision last night that TV is just for the weekends.  So we turned if off. 

  I admit I sometimes use the tv as a babysitter.  I let E watch Oswald while I cook dinner, I let him watch Little Bear while I fold laundry, I say "Go watch Maggie and the Beast so I can mop"  I am guilty.  I confess.

  So I decided that on the days E is good at daycare he gets to choose an activity with me or J and do that activity.  Like an art project, a special trip to the park, baseball time with Daddy.  He gets to choose an activity for every strip he has left in his pocket at daycare.  E loves one-on-one time with us to that will be his reward, fun stuff with one parent.  Why just one??  Well the other one will be cooking, cleaning and doing laundry during this time.  The rest of the night while the tv is off we will read, do flash cards, take bubble baths and GO TO BED EARLIER! 

  It went ok last night.  He wasn't late to go to bed because he wanted to see the end of the Diego episode.  So he went to bed on time!  I was glad too because House was getting ready to come on..and I am NOT going to miss House.  The TV rule doesn't apply to me and J.  Personally, we would actually have to talk about work stuff at work instead of tv stuff, and well, thats just boring!
